Dexter’s life

The Early Days

Born and raised on the island of Trinidad, He was formally educated with B.Sc. Electrical Engineering.

After graduation, Dexter worked at Trinidad’s local iron and steel plant for 3 years. That experience in sub-station maintenance launched his career in Power Generation equipment, operations, and services.

The Big Adventure

Dexter migrated to the US in 1987 and worked for a series of Fortune 500 Companies. He began his US career at Caterpillar, then moved to General Electric and finally to Stork, A Fluor Company.

At the end of March 2020, as COVID-19 began spreading rapidly across America, Dexter was let go from his GM role. While searching for alternatives to COBRA insurance, Dexter learned about the difficulties in accessing affordable Under-65 health insurance.

By August, Dexter got his Texas state life and health insurance license. He started work as a captive agent, acquiring licenses in 21 additional US states over the next 4 months. By late December, Dexter realized his path forward was to serve customers by offering personalized services with multiple offerings.

He launched his company and named it AJPG Group LLC after his maternal grandfather, Arnold J. Pantin, Sr. His grandfather instilled integrity, discipline, and responsibility from an early age. These traits are the cornerstone on which AJPG Group LLC is built and operates.

The Legacy Protector®

Dexter is committed to helping individuals and SMBs develop their legacy using the principles instilled by his grandfather.

Dexter registered the name of his company as The Legacy Protector to remind himself of his responsibilities and priorities when working with potential customers. During the last quarter of 2022, Dexter was reminded of the importance of “Health = Wealth”. Recognizing his personal integrity was at stake,

Dexter shed over 30 lbs. during the 4th quarter to focus on his health by adopting time-restricted eating and daily exercise.

Expanded Services

Dexter added debt elimination services after being introduced to the Money Max Account in late 2021. By becoming a customer and an agent.

Dexter educates and empowers his customers who want to escape the crushing impact of debt which negatively impacts their future. The program is analogous to GPS for your personal finances, capable of reducing interest payments from credit card debt, loans and mortgages while maintaining the customer’s current lifestyle.

My Pastimes

Dexter spends his free time reading, writing articles about his career and leadership, or following his favorite English Premier League team, Manchester United.

In addition, Dexter helps his wife, Jennifer, in their herb and vegetable garden by doing manual labor, cooking and outdoor grilling.
